evee made some changes to the renter charges and commission structure with a view to simplification and greater clarity for hosts, renters and evee on Tuesday 9th November.
Pricing for Renters
Our pricing model is simple and straightforward. There are no booking fees, credit card surcharges or other hidden costs when making a booking.
On evee, our hosts are given the responsibility of setting the daily rate of their car listing. We stopped displaying the insurance cost as a separate line item on quotes / bookings made after the transition date. That is, the pricing you see includes the cost of rental insurance to make the booking experience much simpler!
Bookings made prior to these changes, but occurring after, would still operate for both renters and owners under the previous pricing model.
Please note, all prices are in Australian Dollars and include GST.
Booking costs do not come with a surcharge but we do add a surcharge on extra payments, such as tolls, supercharging costs and etc. so that we can reimburse the owners correctly. Please read our article "Extra Charges" in "Paying for Your Trip" and in "Understanding Your Responsibility" for more information.

When You are Charged
We authorise the full rental fee when you request a booking to make sure you have sufficient funds. The amount is charged as soon as the owner confirms your booking.
Payment Methods
We accept most payment methods which are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, China UnionPay, and JCB payments from customers.
We do not accept bank transfers.
