We classify interior or exterior damage as minor if it is less than $300 to repair in total.
The most common type of minor damage is wheel scratches or parking wheel rash. There are mobile services that repair the wheels at your place. Or you can look into buying wheel protectors, such as Alloygator. These are cheaper and quicker to replace than repairing when the inevitable happens.
Other types of minor damage includes paint chips, parking scratches, door dings.
If your car has received minor damage during the rental, it is important that both the owner and renter take photos to note the damaged area. Both owners and renters would need to discuss the liabilities involved, and the owners’ should get a quote from repairers to determine the cost of repair. If it is agreed that damage was done during the rental, owners can request an extra payment for the cost of repairs directly through the booking details webpage.
To add an extra payment, you can follow the procedure in our "Making Extra Charges" article.
