On evee there are two kinds of hosts: peer-to-peer and Commercial Hosts.
Commercial Hosts are an independent rental company, or entity within the rental industry who list their EVs on evee’s platform. If you book a rental from a Commercial Host, they will offer their own commercial rental insurance which must meet evee’s vehicle eligibility requirement. Commercial Hosts will appear on their car listing page as the company name instead of a person’s name.
How does rental agreement, insurance and protection work with Commercial Hosts?
A Commercial Host will provide details on the rental agreement and insurance in the car listing description on evee. In most cases on the day of pick-up or just before, you will be required to sign the rental agreement with your Commercial Host which is the same standard process when renting with a traditional car rental company and may require to verify your driver’s licence and ID with them directly.
In addition, since you have booked through a Commercial Host, your rental insurance will also be directly from your Commercial Host. If you have involved in a damage to the vehicle or accident you will need to work directly with them and evee will not be involved in the claims process.
