What's next?
After requesting a booking with your host on evee, please follow the guidelines below to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day:
Add a Profile Photo and Bio:
Hosts are much more likely to accept a booking from renters that have a profile photo. evee is a community-based platform that promotes the personal interaction between hosts and renters and therefore we encourage all users to add a photo to their profile. Log into your evee account and select view profile to upload your favourite image and a few sentences about yourself.
Security Deposit:
evee will authorise and hold the security deposit 24 hours before the start of the rental period. It is released to you 48 hours after the booking is completed and when you return the vehicle undamaged. Please make sure you have enough funds in your nominated payment method. (visit our help centre to see how much your security deposit is)
Additional Drivers:
To make sure that your nominated additional driver(s) are covered to drive during the rental, please ensure all drivers:
1. Sign up with evee.
2. Fill in profile details including phone number and address.
3. Verify driver licence and complete driver declaration.
For more information, visit our Adding an Extra Driver Support article.
Plan Your Trip:
Australia's charging network will get you between capital cities and regional travel. Charge at over 2,000+ charging stations across the country (visit Plugshare for all stations). Read our handy 'Charging Guide' for more.
Reduce Damage Liability:
evee is Australia's only platform that provides comprehensive car rental insurance for Tesla and other electric cars. When you rent with evee, you are protected by Australia's most established car rental underwriter CRI.
You can check your damage liability on the hosts' vehicle listing page. The liability amount will differ depending on the market value of the car rented. (and learn how to reduce your damage liability through RentalCover*).
*Any advice provided is general. Consider the Product Disclosure Statement available on the RentalCover website to decide if the product is right for you.
On The Day:
Have your driver's licence ready - The host will check your identity based on your driver licence.
Arrive on time - Meet the host at the agreed location and time to receive your vehicle.
Complete a condition report before and after your rental - Take as many photos as possible to document the state of the car before and after the rental. This is important in case of an accident or damage claim. Keep the record for at least 30 days from the end of the rental. Use the evee handover checklist as a guideline.
Got any questions? If you are unsure about anything, feel free to ask your host any questions you have about the car.
